BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT MANAGER REQUIRED FOR AN ASAP START BASED IN BIRMINGHAM £36000 - £45000 15% FLEX FUNDS (SALARY TOP UP) EXCELLENT BENEFITS AND PENSION My client is a well known national organisation and due to an expansion within the team they are now looking for a Business Engagement Manager based in Birmingham. The role is a key position that will manage relationships with external stakeholders and would be ideal for a candidate from a Chambers of Commerce or Growth Hub who has managed business relationships from a growth perspective and chairing round table meetings/organising events in a hands on role. [ The role ] Work with colleagues in the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Directorate and across other departments to ensure timely, coordinated, and consistent two-way information flows between business and identified key stakeholders. Develop and deepen relationships with stakeholders along the line of route, including key business groups and local authorities, local representative groups based in the business communities the project will impact, and other identified key stakeholders Capturing and telling relevant local business success stories across multiple external audiences Proactively identify opportunities to involve key business stakeholders in the project and work with colleagues to plan and deliver engagement activities Develop and maintain an overview of the politics, stakeholder issues and activities in communities, identifying and feeding back into the business key risks and opportunities Manage proactive and reactive correspondence with identified key stakeholders ensuring all responses are timely, accurate and of high quality in both tone and content. Provide clear and concise briefings, presentations, and reports on complex issues for senior members of the company Manage processes to coordinate, record and report on engagement with key stakeholders, ensuring a consistent approach and alignment business processes Develop effective working relationships with contractors ensuring they understand business commitments, behaviour expectations, and metrics by which they will be measured [Person and skills required] Ability to develop relationships and build trust amongst internal and external stakeholders, using diplomacy at every stage Influencing and communication skills Ability to produce and present information to a variety of stakeholders and ability to engage and respond to queries and requests in a way that fosters collaboration maintaining attention to detail Project management, organisational and planning skills Ability to communicate complex issues with clarity Ability to analyse data, interpret changing environments and present briefings to a variety of audiences at various levels in the organisation Ability to manage own workload and competing stakeholder priorities to meet agreed deadlines Experience of developing and delivering strategic stakeholder management arrangements in large and complex environments Experience of working within or with regional business organisations Experience of engaging with local business communities Experience of providing counsel across an organisation on stakeholder engagement Experience of delivering high profile events / engagement activities both in partnership with external stakeholders and within the business If you believe you have the skills/experience for this exciting opportunity please apply ASAP For more information please feel free to contact Mike at the office.
