Works closely with key stake holders to define technology solutions for Mediabrands EMEA & UK in order to achieve efficiencies, cost savings and attain a significant competitive advantage over its peers.Job ResponsibilitiesLead strategy setting and implementation for all systems, tools and technology-relatedactivities region-wide, in alignment with Global technology strategies set by the WW CIO and global business strategy set by the Mediabrands regional and global leadership group.Serve as expert consultant to all Global and EMEA region-based client account teams to scope, plan and execute against their technology needs as appropriate.Work with Regional function heads (Digital, HR, Finance, Communications Planning, Research, Marketing, etc.) to scope, plan and execute against function-specific needs.Direct region-appropriate projects and coordinate with Global project teams, as appropriate.Continually foster team collaboration across EMEA region in order to instil a “one team” mentality amongst EMEA IT staff and encourage frequent and cross border participation in projects.Assist local market technology groups with establishing and articulating ROI business cases for technology investments.In collaboration with local market and regional financial management, ensure that all technology investments throughout the region are fiscally sound and adhere to established business-plan limits for CapEx and OpEx spending.Establish and conduct a periodic regional technology Governance process so that technology investments can be vetted with appropriate stakeholders and prioritization decisions made.Ensure successful operation and full availability of IT infrastructure services encompassing, network, desktop and server systems.Ensure successful operation and full availability of IT applications and business systems.Deal with external suppliers on procurement matters with a view to assessing and improving current deals across a range of areas encompassing IT hardware, AV, Printers etc.Ensure all corporate and Mediabrands global security requirements/programs/initiatives are successfully implemented and ensure SOX compliance within established controls framework and deal with auditors on at least a bi-annual basis.Work with the Security and Compliance team to ensure that Security monitoring activities and initiatives are aligned with any Data Protection Compliance obligations.Work closely with Security and Compliance team and legal on responding to client queries around Technical measures required under GDPR and Client contractual clauses.Foster productive and collaborative relationships between Mediabrands Technology and all other IPG technology groups, including other BIS\sister agency IT groups and IPGIT\GIS.Act as liaison between and among the Mediabrands WW CIO, other MB region technology teams, McCann Worldgroup (BIS) and IPG (GIS) on behalf of EMEA local markets.Manage and be accountable for all technology spend region-wide, including regional CapEx and regional GIS allocations.Directly supervise full-time staff of 2 regional and local resources, one of which includes the UK IT Service Desk Manager and responsibilities include overseeing the UK Team.Comply with all administrative activities as required by Mediabrands EMEA Management.Desired Skills & ExperienceSenior level experience in technology, that includes IT leadership experience, and management of IT across a number of countries.Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders across EuropeStrong project management capability, including ability to analyse, plan and execute across the entire spectrum of an IT project lifecycleFinancial management and acumen – experience in building, articulating and defending the value proposition and business rationale for technology investments.
